TO ADVANCE THE PROFESSION OF STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING, TO ASSIST THE PUBLIC IN OBTAINING DEPENDABLE STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES, TO ENCOURAGE ENGINEERING EDUCATION, TO MAINTAIN THE HONOR AND DIGNITY OF THE PROFESSION, TO ENLIGHTEN THE PUBLIC RESPECTING THE PROVINCE OF THE STRUC

Part 3 - Line 4a

MEMBERS ATTEND ORGANIZATION MEETINGS WHICH COVER TOPICS OF EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL INTEREST. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS INITIATIVES THAT PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE PUBLIC SAFETY. IN ADDITION, THE PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH CONTINUING EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY FOR ADVANCEMENT OF BUILDING CODE PROVISIONS, STRENGTHENING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS AND ENHANCING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE MEMBERS.


ANNUAL TECHNICAL CONFERENCE HELD IN HOME CITIES OF CHAPTERS ON A ROTATION BASIS. THE CONFERENCE IS FOR MEMBERS AS WELL AS OTHERS PRACTICING STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING IN TEXAS. IT INCLUDES TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN ABOUT NEW TECHNOLOGY, MATERIALS AND APPLICATIONS, TO MEET LEADING VENDORS AND TO NETWORK WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS.
