EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM OFFERED: ST ANDREWS MISSION IS LICENSED BY TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES FOR PRE-SCHOOL CLASSES FOR THREE AND FOUR YEAR OLD CHILDREN. ENROLLMENT IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM REMAINED AT THE SAME LEVEL IN 2017 AS IN PREVIOUS YEARS.
COMMUNITY SERVICES: THE PARISH FUND WAS SET UP TO ENSURE THAT FUNDS WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO HELP LESS FORTUNATE RESIDENTS OF MIDLAND COUNTY. PRESCRIPTIONS AND UTILITES HAVE BEEN PAID OUT OF THIS FUND FOR QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS. TOTAL AMOUNT OF FUNDS ISSUED WAS $67,694. ASSISTANCE WAS GIVEN TO 577 HOUSEHOLDS, BENEFITING 750 INDIVIDUALS.
IN ADDITION TO THE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM, A SENIOR ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BEGAN IN 2013, AND A VETERANS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BEGAN IN 2015, WITH THE GOAL OF IMPROVING THE LIVES OF QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS IN THE AREA. IN THE PAST YEAR 30 FAMILIES HAVE BEEN ASSISTED THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS.
