TXAEYC EMPOWERS AND INSPIRES A COMMUNITY OF EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONALS THROUGH ADVOCACY, RESOURCES, AND COLLABORATION TO EFFECTIVELY SERVE YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

TEACH TEXAS WHICH PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENABLE EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHERS TO TAKE COURSEWORK LEADING TO CREDENTIALS AND DEGREES AT LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES WITHIN TEXAS. DURING FY2023, WE AWARDED 603 SCHOLARSHIPS WHICH LEAD TO THE OBTAINMENT OF 3,940 COLLEGE CREDIT HOURS. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS WORK IN 265 EARLY LEARNING PROGRAMS ACROSS THE STATE, IMPACTING OVER 24,000 CHILDREN.
BOOKS BEGINNING AT BIRTH IS A STATEWIDE PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES YOUNG CHILDREN, BIRTH TO AGE 4, AND THEIR FAMILIES ACCESS TO BOOKS AND RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF EARLY LITERACY AND FOSTER A LOVE OF READING. DURING FY 2023, 41,972 CHILDREN RECEIVED BOOKS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP DUES, RAISE, HEALTHY CHILD CARE TEXAS, SHARED SERVICES, ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND DONATIONS.
