THE FOUNDATION IS A NONPROFIT CHARITABLE CORPORATION ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY WELFARE, PROVIDE INTERNATIONAL SCHOLORSHIPS, SUPPORT STUDENT EXCHANGES, AND ASSIST OTHER CHARITABLE PROJECTS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.

THE ROTARY PROVIDES SERVICE THROUGH CHARITABLE GIFTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT FIGHT POVERTY, HUNGER, ILLITERACY AND VIOLENCE.
PARTNERSHIP WITH CITY YEAR - THE ROTARY CLUB OF SAN ANTONIO PARTNERS WITH CITY YEAR TO BUILD PLAY STRUCTURES IN SAN ANTONIO'S IMPOVERISHED AREAS. THESE STATE OF THE ART PLAY STRUCTURES ADD EDUCATION ACTIVITIES AND RECREATION TO SERVE THE MANY CHILDREN IN THESE NEIGHBORHOODS. ROTARY AND CITY YEAR VOLUNTEERS BUILD THE PLAY STRUCTURES FROM THE GROUND UP. IF NEEDED, LANDSCAPING IS ALSO DONE AT THE SITE. ON THE DAY OF THE BUILD, A FAMILY FUN FAIR IS HELD FOR THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY.
