TO REMOVE BARRIERS OF PAST DISCRIMINATION IN THE SAN ANTONIO WORKFORCE AND FILL A VOID IN THE SAN ANTONIO COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING A NUMBER OF ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE ACTIVITIES, WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO TARGET SMALL, MINORITY, AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES AND MINORITY YOUTH, WHO REQUIRE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO BECOME LEADERS IN THE SAN ANTONIO COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION ALSO EDUCATES PARTICIPANTS ON POLICY ISSUES AFFECTING THE CIVIC AND ECONOMIC WELL BEING OF THE COMMUNITY AND CREATE A LARGER POOL OF KNOWLEDGEABLE, SKILLED, AND ACTIVE LEADERS.

ANNUAL CORE4STEM PROGRAM - THE MISSION OF THE CORE4STEM PROGRAM IS TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE STUDENTS TO PURSUE CAREERS IN THE STEM FIELDS. IN 2020, THE ANNUAL CORE4STEM PROGRAM WAS CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID19 PANDEMIC. IN 2021, THE ANNUAL CORE4STEM EVENT WAS SHIFTED TO A VIRTUAL EVENT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WITTE MUSEUM FOR HUNDREDS OF LOCAL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING.
"ALEXANDER BRISENO LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (ABLDP)- IS A SEVEN-MONTH PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES NETWORKING AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES WITH EXISTING AND EMERGING CIVIC AND CORPORATE LEADERS IN THE SAN ANTONIO AREAS, AS WELL AS PROMOTES LEADERSHIP ON BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS. THE PROGRAM IS NAMED AFTER RETIRED CITY MANAGER ALEXANDER BRISENO AND IS GROUNDED IN HIS LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY "GERENCIA CON CORAZON" PRACTICE MANAGEMENT WITH COMPASSION/HEART, AS WELL AS HIS LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES: JUDGMENT, COMPASSION, COURAGE, INTEGRITY, CREATIVITY, PASSION, VISION, COMPETENCY, DILIGENCE, AND ACCESSIBILITY. 2021 ABLDP SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED OVER 30 PARTICIPANTS THROUGH A HYBRID CLASS STYLE SETTING.
