SUPPORTING OVER 56 COLORADO SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND BOARDS OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (BOCES) IN COLORADO WITH EFFORTS TO MAXIMIZE RESOURCES AND PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH INCREASED AND EQUITABLE ACCESS TO HEALTH SERVICES, THE CONSORTIUM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMMING AND SERVICES FOCUSED ON ADMINISTERING THE MEDICAID SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICES (SHS) PROGRAM. TRAINING AND CONSULTATION FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT HEALTH PROVIDERS AND ADMINISTRATORS ASSIST IN NAVIGATING SHS PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS, AND IN ADDRESSING THE UNMET HEALTH NEEDS OF OVER 679,761 COLORADO STUDENTS; INFORMING THE EXPANSION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN SCHOOLS, INCLUDING: SYSTEMS CHANGE, STUDENT HEALTH ADVOCACY, IMPLEMENTING INSURANCE OUTREACH AND ENROLLMENT PROGRAMS, LOCAL SERVICE PLAN DEVELOPMENT, MATERIALS, COMMUNICATIONS, WORKSHOPS AND QUARTERLY MEETINGS FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATORS.
