LAW ENFORCEMENT AND FIRST RESPONDER TRAINING AND SUPPORT INITIATIVES: THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES TRAINING, EQUIPMENT AND FUNDING SUPPORT FOR AGENCIES AND DEPARTMENTS EXPERIENCING BUDGET SHORTFALLS AND/OR SPECIALIZED NEEDS. PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDE POLICE, FIRE. EMS, COUNTY SHERIFFS, FBI AND OTHER FIRST RESPONDER ORGANIZATIONS.
PUBLIC SAFETY SERIES AND COMMUNITY COALITION BRIEFINGS: THIS PROGRAMS INCLUDES AN ANNUAL 9-11 MEMORIAL EVENT, PUBLIC SAFETY COALITION AND COMMUNITY ANTI-CRIME INITIATIVES THAT FEATURE PUBLIC SAFETY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT LEADERS COMBINED WITH POLICY EXPERTS THAT FOCUS ON A VARIETY OF ANTI-CRIME AND COMMUNITY PUBLIC SAFETY TOPICS. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM WAS CONDUCTED USING VIRTUAL METHODS IN 2020.
NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORK-MUNICIPAL PUBLIC SAFETY INITIATIVE: THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES DATA FROM A VARIETY OF SOURCES (SURVEYS, NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAMS, PUBLIC CRIME STATISTICS ETC.) LAW ENFORCEMENT PATROL STAFFING RESEARCH AND APPLICABLE MODEL DESIGN-PHASE ONE: RESEARCH FOR USE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ON EMPIRICAL DATA AND MACHINE LEARNING STAFFING MODELS WHILE ALSO REQUIRING VALUE-BASED SURVEY DATA TO PROVIDE INSIGHT INTO PATROL STAFFING REQUIREMENTS FOR ADEQUATE SERVICE ON CALLS AND THE ACTIVITIES OFFICERS UNDERTAKE WHEN NOT WORKING ON CALLS FOR SERVICE.
