THROUGH A BALANCED PROGRAM OF RESEARCH, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND PUBLIC EDUCATION, TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF BILINGUAL EDUCATORS (TABE) PURSUES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EDUCATIONAL POLICIES AND EFFECTIVE BILINGUAL-BICULTURAL PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE EQUAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE FOR BILINGUAL/ESL STUDENTS.

EACH YEAR TABE AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO THREE RECIPIENTS WHO ARE GRADUATE STUDENTS PLANNING TO PURSUE AN ADVANCED DEGREE IN BILINGUAL EDUCATION.TABE PRESENTS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE FOR BILINGUAL EDUCATION. BILINGUAL EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS & SUPPORTERS FROM ACROSS TEXAS GATHER FOR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING, COLLABORATION & CELEBRATION. ATTENDEES GAIN KNOWLEDGE TO EDUCATE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES TO KNOW THE POWER OF THEIR CULTURAL ROOTS AND THE POTENTIAL IMPACT ON THE ACADEMIC SUCCESS OF THEIR CHILDREN. EACH YEAR TABE AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO THREE RECIPIENTS WHO ARE GRADUATE STUDENTS PLANNING TO PURSUE AN ADVANCED DEGREE IN BILINGUAL EDUCATION.
