EARTH DAY - BAY DAY EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ABOUT BAYS, ESTUARIES AND OTHER NATIVE HABITATS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN AIR, WATER AND ENVIRONMENT FOR CONSERVATION OF RESOURCES AND ENERGY THROUGH REDUCING, REUSING, AND RECYCLING; ENCOURAGES PROTECTION OF NATIVE HABITATS SUCH AS SEAGRASSES BY PROMOTING LOW-IMPACT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES LIKE KAYAKING, WINDSURFING, ETS.; FACILITATES THE ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT OF VISITORS WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS AUDOBON OUTDOOR CLUB, MASTER GARDENERS, AND THE THE SURFRIDER FOUNDATION.
