THE PRIMARY PURPOSES OF THE COLORADO CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT OFFICIALS, INC. (NAHRO) IS TO BE THE LEADING HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVOCATE FOR THE PROVISION OF ADEQUATE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND STRONG, VIABLE COMMUNITIES FOR ALL AMERICANS, PARTICULARLY THOSE OF LOW TO MODERATE INCOMES, AND TO ENHANCE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EFFECTIVENESS OF NAHRO'S MEMBERS.

IN 2022, COLORADO NAHRO CONTINUED TO FULFILL ITS MISSION TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, ADVOCACY AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PUBLIC HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES AS WELL AS OTHER INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO ENHANCE THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING INDUSTRY AND PROMOTE VIABLE COMMUNITIES IN COLORADO. COLORADO NAHRO PRODUCED ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE MAY 10-13 IN VAIL, COLORADO THAT PRIVIDED ESSENTIAL TRAINING AND NETWORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR APPROXIMATELY 350 AFFORDABLE HOUSING MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS. COLORADO NAHRO ALSO MAINTAINS TRAINING CENTERS IN LAKEWOOD AND COLORADO SPRINGS WHERE PERIODIC TRAININGS ARE OFFERED TO MEMBERS AS NEEDED. ADDITIONALLY, COLORADO NAHARO MAINTAINS A WEBSITE THAT PROVIDES ITS MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION ON ADVOCACY ISSUES, CURRENT EVENTS, TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AND OTHER RELEVANT RESOURCES.
