HARVESTING INTERNATIONAL RESPONDS TO FOOD IMPOVERISHED INDIVIDUALS BY PROVIDING FOOD WITH DIGNITY TO ALL THOSE WHO NEED ASSISTANCE. OUR MISSION IS TO CHANGE LIVES IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE BY FEEDING THE HUNGRY TODAY AND BUILDING A HEALTHY, HUNGER-FREE TOMORROW FOR EACH OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS. WE ENVISION A COMMUNITY IN WHICH EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO SUFFICIENT NUTRITIOUS FOOD. IN 2021, THE HIM FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTED FOOD TO 104,322 INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN A WEEKLY DRIVE-THRU MOBILE MARKET. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 6,000 STUDENTS IN 8 AREA SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH BACKPACK MEALS FOR AFTER SCHOOL SNACKS AND MEALS ON THE WEEKEND. HARVESTING DELIVERED MEALS EACH WEEK TO HOMEBOUND SENIOR CITIZENS AND DISABLED VETERANS FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR AND SUPPLIED HYGIENE ITEMS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO 1000 LOW INCOME FAMILIES. HARVESTING PROVIDES BULK FOOD TO OTHER FOOD PANTRIES ACROSS THE METROPLEX WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE THAT FOOD FOR THEIR OWN PANTRIES.
