INDEPENDENCE IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THE ACQUISITION OF JOB SKILLS AND EDUCATION, WHICH LEVELS THE JOB MARKET AND ALLOWS THE HEAD OF THE HOUSEHOLD TO ATTAIN STABLE EMPLOYMENT AND SUPPORT HER FAMILY THUS BECOMING SELF-SUFFICIENT.
