PROVIDES BUILDINGS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN WITH LANGUAGE DISORDERS. PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE FOR POST GRADUATE STUDIES IN SPEECH PATHOLOGY AND FOR HIGH SCHOOL ROTC PROGRAMS.

TUCSON SCOTTISH RITE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION PROVIDES THE BUILDING FOR THE CHILD LANGUAGE CENTER, A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION EXEMPT UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3). THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS IN THE GRADUATE PROGRAM OF THE HEARING AND SPEECH DEPARTMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES $4,202 PER SEMESTER. RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED BY THE DEPARTMENT AND THE PROCESS IS MONITORED BY THE DIRECTOR OF THE CHILD LANGUAGE CENTER, WHO IS AN ADJUNCT FACULTY AT THE U OF A. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES TEN $100 SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN JUNIOR ROTC IN VARIOUS HIGH SCHOOLS, AS RECOMMENDED BY TEACHERS AND OTHERS AT THE SCHOOLS.
