SPONSOR SEVERAL EVENTS TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS.THIS YEAR STARTED PROMISING; HOWEVER, DUE TO COVID 19, THE CORONA VIRUS, ALMOST ALL VENUES AVAILABLE TO HOST AN EVENT WER NOT AVIALABLE AS PER CITY AND COUNTY CDC RECOMMENDATIONS. WE ONLY HOSTED ONE EVENT IN OCTOBER, WHICH WAS POORLY ATTENED DUE TO COUNTY RESTRICTIONS AND THE PUBLIC OPINION COMMISSIONERS RECEIVED.

WE WERE ABLE TO AWARD $38,250.00 IN SCHOLARSHIPS FROM RESERVES FUNDS FROM 2019, IN 2020 OUR FUNDRAISING WAS LIMITED DUE TO THE COVID 19 VIRUS. THIS INCLUDED $3,357, 2020 PROFIT, AND $34,893 FROM OUR MONEY MARKET RESERVES FOR UNFORSEEN EVENTS THAT PREVENT OR LIMIT OUR FUND RAISING TOURNAMENTS TO BE HOSTED ANNUALLY.


WE HAD 3,381 IN ASSISTANCE TO ORANGIZATIONS 12TH GRADERS AND UNDER STUDENTS IN GRADE SCHOOL, SUCH AS THE INTERNATIONAL FAIR AND EXPOSITION : LIFE DOWNS INTERNATION FAIR AND EXPO, $1,500; ZAPATA FAIR AND EXPOSITION, $1,000.00; JIM HOGG COUNTY FAIR AND EXPOSITION, $500.00, AUSTISM DONATION $100.00. THESE FUND WERE FROM OUR RESERVED MONEY MARKET ACCOUNT, SINCE BORDER CHAPTER API HELPS THESE ORGANIZATION ON AN ANNUAL BASIS.
