WE'RE HERE TO INSPIRE GENERATIONS. WE CONNECT PEOPLE AND STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY BY SHOWCASING UNFORGETTABLE PERFORMANCES ACROSS GENRES, PROVIDING LIFE-CHANGING ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AND DREAMING UP MAGICAL EXPERIENCES IN ICONIC VENUES THAT ANCHOR AND DEFINE DOWNTOWN AUSTIN.

THE STATESIDE THEATRE, CONSTRUCTED IN 1935 AS AUSTIN'S FIRST VENUE BUILT SPECIFICALLY TO SHOW MOTION PICTURES, IS AN UNDERSTATED BUT ESSENTIAL PIECE OF AUSTIN HISTORY AND THE AUSTIN THEATRE ALLIANCE'S CURRENT ROLE IN THE LOCAL ARTS COMMUNITY. IT WAS LAST RENOVATED IN THE 1980S AND HAS A MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY OF 310. THE STATESIDE THEATRE PROVIDES AN INTIMATE, ACCESSIBLE SPACE FOR LOCAL ARTS ORGANIZATIONS TO RENT, UP-AND-COMING MUSICIANS TO LAUNCH INTO LARGER MARKETS, AND FOR THE ORGANIZATION TO HOST COMMUNITY EVENTS AND TRY NEW, INNOVATIVE IDEAS. LIKE THE PARAMOUNT, THE STATESIDE THEATRE ALSO SUPPORTS THE MANY PROGRAMS OF THE AUSTIN THEATRE ALLIANCE INCLUDING THE PARAMOUNT EDUCATION PROGRAMS, THE MOONTOWER JUST FOR LAUGHS COMEDY FESTIVAL, THE SUMMER CLASSIC FILM SERIES, AND COMMUNITY ACCESS PROGRAMS; HOSTS WORLD PREMIERES OF SXSW, AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL, AND BEYOND; AND WORKS WITH EXPERTS TO ENSURE THE CAREFUL PRESERVATION OF AUSTIN HISTORY.
