THE MISSION OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION IS TO ASSURE INCLUSION AND ENHANCE INDEPENDENCE OF PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME. WE ACHIEVE THIS BY PROVIDING EDUCATION, RESOURCES AND SUPPORT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, PROFESSIONALS, AND THE COMMUNITY.

RMDSA PROVIDES DIRECT PROGRAMMING AND SERVICES TO MORE THAN 6,000 PEOPLE LIVING IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION LIVING WITH DOWN SYNDROME. RMDSA IS ALSO THE PREEMINENT ORGANIZATION IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION DEDICATED TO SERVING THE NEEDS OF EXPECTANT AND NEW MOTHERS OF CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME. RMDSA PROVIDES "NEW PARENT" MATERIALS TO THOSE IDENTIFIED TO THE ORGANIZATION AND BUILDS A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP OF SUPPORT WITH THESE MOTHERS AND FAMILIES. RMDSA PROVIDES RESOURCES, EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS/TRAININGS, COMMUNITY GROUP MEETINGS, ELECTRONIC/MAILED BI-MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS, AND ACTS AS A CLEARING HOUSE OF NEEDED CONTACT INFORMATION FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS TO FAMILIES, CAREGIVERS, AND INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH DOWN SYNDROME.
