KENNEL FACILITY AND OPERATIONS: SPCA OF POLK COUNTY PROVIDES SHELTER, FOOD AND CARE TO HOMELESS ANIMALS. FACILITIES INCLUDE FULLY STAFFED CANINE AND FELINE KENNELS, QUARANTINE QUARTERS FOR NEW ARRIVALS, EXERCISE YARDS AND OFFICE TO CARRY ON THE SERVICES TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION.
TRAP-NEUTER-RELEASE PROGRAM: AS THE SPCA BECOMES AWARE OF FERAL CATS IN THE COMMUNITY, THEY HUMANELY TRAP THEM AND HAVE THEM SPAYED OR NEUTERED. ONCE HEALED, THEY ARE RETURNED TO THE AREA WHERE THEY WERE FOUND. DOING SO PREVENTS AN INCREASE IN FERAL CAT COMMUNITIES.
