TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH AND AT RISK OF DEVELOPING DIABETES AND THEIR FAMILIES WITHIN THE EL PASO REGION, THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY, FOR THE PREVENTION, MANAGEMENT AND EARLY DETECTION OF DIABETES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

EL PASO CENTER FOR DIABETES PROVIDES SELF-MANAGEMENT EDUCATION, GESTATIONAL DIABETES MANAGEMENT, INSULIN INJECTION, GLUCOMETER TRAINING, COOKING CLASSES, AND MEAL PLANNING. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION IS ACTIVE IN OUTREACH OF UNDERSERVED AREAS, SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES SERVICES TO THOSE WHO ARE VISION-IMPAIRED AS A RESULT OF DIABETES. FINALLY, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS CAMPS FOR CHILDREN AND NUMEROUS SCREENING DRIVES THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY.
