LONE STAR LEGAL AID'S ("LSLA") MISSION IS TO PROTECT AND ADVANCE THE CIVIL LEGAL RIGHTS OF THE MILLIONS OF TEXANS LIVING IN POVERTY BY PROVIDING FREE ADVOCACY, LEGAL REPRESENTATION, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION THAT ENSURES EQUAL ACCESS TO JUSTICE. LSLA'S SERVICE AREA COVERS ONE-THIRD OF THE STATE OF TEXAS. HEADQUARTERED IN HOUSTON, LSLA SERVES 72 GULF COAST AND EAST TEXAS COUNTIES AS WELL AS FOUR COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF ARKANSAS FROM 13 ADDITIONAL BRANCH OFFICES.

WE COVER A FULL RANGE OF CIVIL MATTERS, SUCH AS EVICTION AND FORECLOSURE DEFENSE, FAMILY LAW, VICTIM RIGHTS, HEALTH CARE, DISABILITY RIGHTS, EMPLOYMENT, PUBLIC BENEFITS, CONSUMER PROTECTION, AND DISASTER AND COVID-19 RELIEF. DURING 2021, LSLA HANDLED NEARLY 29,500 LEGAL CASES BENEFITING OVER 71,000 ADULTS AND CHILDREN.
