THE ASSOCIATION ANNUALLY PROCESSES OVER 8,000 STUDENTS FROM BROWNSVILLE AND NEIGHBORING CITIES, EXPLAINING TO THEM THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HISTORY OF BROWNSVILLE AND ITS SISTER CITY (MATAMOROS, MEXICO) JUST ACROSS THE RIVER. THE MUSEUM MAKES AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC A LARGE COLLECTION OF PICTURES AND ARTIFACTS AS WELL AS
A COMPLETE LIBRARY OF HISTORICAL BOOKS. THROUGH EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS, PROJECTS AND SPEAKERS THE MUSEUM IS WORKING TO EDUCATE THE POPULATION AND PRESERVE THE HERITAGE OF THE AREA.
