MARY MCLEOD BETHUNE DAY NURSERY FOR THE PAST 73 YEARS CONTINUES TO PROVIDE A QUALITY CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES THAT ARE FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED AND MAY OR MAY NOT RESIDE IN THE LOCAL SHELTERS. ALL FUNDING FOR THIS PROGRAM GO STRICTLY FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CHILD DEVELOPMENTS PROGRAM, WHICH INCLUDE VARIOUS GRANTS AND COLLABORATION WITH AGENCIES THAT ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENTAL GOALS OF OUR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN. SOME OF THE AGENCIES THAT BETHUNE COLLABORATE WITH FOR ENHANCEMENTS ARE: CORPUS CHRISTI SCHOOL DISTRICT, DEL MAR SPECIAL POPULATIONS, EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION, NATIONAL NURSING & REHABILITATION, HOMELESS ISSUES SERVICES, TEXAS DEPT.
