BASED ON THE INTERNAL EVALUATION OF SERVICES, DLH HAS ELECTED TO FOCUS ITS PRESERVATION ACTIVITIES ON ACQUIRING OWNERSHIP INTERESTS THROUGH BARGAIN SALES AND SPECIAL ALLOCATION PROGRAMS. THESE STRATEGIES HELP PRESERVE AGING AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECTS BY ADMITTING AN INVESTOR GROUP COMMITTED TO A LONG-TERM PARTICIPATION IN AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMS, THEREBY PROVIDING SAFE, CLEAN, AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO LOW-INCOME TENANTS.
