Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INC. IS A CHRISTIAN HOUSING MINISTRY THAT WORKS WITH ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE TO HELP IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS IN WHICH THEY LIVE. THE ORGANIZATION USES CAPITAL PROVIDED THROUGH CASH AND IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS AS WELL AS OTHER REVENUE GENERATING ACTIVITIES TO BUILD OR RENOVATE HOMES FOR THE INADEQUATELY SHELTERED. THROUGH JUNE 2020, THE HOUSES WERE SOLD WITH A NON-INTEREST-BEARING MORTGAGE WHICH ARE TYPICALLY REPAID OVER A PERIOD OF TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. BEGINNING IN JUNE 2020, THE ORGANIZATION BEGAN PARTNERING WITH THIRD-PARTY LENDERS WHO HAVE AGREED TO FINANCE CERTAIN HOME SALES.STATEMENT CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.THIRTY-FIVE LIMITED INCOME HOMEOWNERS PURCHASED HOUSES IN THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021. THESE WERE NEW HOUSES BUILT BY CENTRAL OKLAHOMA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. THESE HOUSES ARE BUILT USING SOME DONATED MATERIALS AND LABOR AND SOLD AT COST AT A BELOW MARKET INTEREST RATE. MORTGAGE PAYMENTS ARE RECYCLED TO HELP BUILD MORE NEW HOMES, REDUCING OUR NEED FOR FUNDRAISING.
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY'S RESTORES SERVE OUR MISSION OF BUILDING HOMES, COMMUNITIES AND HOPE. IN ORDER TO FUND THAT MISSION, WE SELL NEW AND USED ITEMS, SUCH AS BUILDING SUPPLIES, APPLIANCES, FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS IN OUR RESTORES. THE HABITAT RESTORES PROVIDE A MORE AFFORDABLE CHOICE FOR HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, ALL WHILE KEEPING PERFECTLY GOOD ITEMS FROM THE LANDFILL. PROCEEDS FROM SALES AT OUR TWO RESTORES HELP CREATE AND PRESERVE HOMEOWNERSHIP IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA.
WEATHERIZATION AND/OR REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED FOR 14 LOW-INCOME HOMEOWNERS BEGINNING JULY 1, 2020 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2021. DURING FYE 06/30/2021 CONTRIBUTIONS TOTALED $28,500.
