THE MISSION OF THE OWASSO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS TO DEVELOP, ENCOURAGE,PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE COMMERCIAL,PROFESSIONAL, FINANCIAL,GENERAL BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL INTERESTS OF THE OWASSO COMMUNITY; TO PROMOTE THE CIVIC INTERESTS AND THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY; TO EXTEND AND PROMOTE TRADE AND COMMERCE; AND TO FOSTER, DEVELOP AND PROTECT THE INDUSTRY AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS OF THE OWASSO AREA.

COMMUNITY EVENT ACTIVITIES: VIA OUR TRAIL DAYS FESTIVAL, PARADES, HOME AND BUSINESS FAIR, AUCTION, AND GOLF TOURNAMENT, WE PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT AND KNOWLEDGE TO OUR CITIZENS, WHILE PROMOTING A SPIRIT OF CAMARADERIE WITHIN OUR CITY. ESTIMATED ANNUAL ATTENDANCE: 10,000.LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS - THE OWASSO CHAMBER IS A BODY OF INFLUENCE: IN RECENT YEARS, THROUGH OUR PARTICIPATION IN LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS, OUR CHAMBER HAS BEEN DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN IDENTIFYING NEEDED TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS AND ASSISTED IN OBTAINING FUNDING IN EXCESS OF 50 MILLION FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS. IN REPRESENTING OUR BUSINESSES AND CITIZENS, WE HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN THE PASSAGE OF LEGISLATION RELATING TO WORKERS COMPENSATION REFORM, LAWSUIT REFORM AND EXPANDED HEALTHCARE SERVICES IN OUR CITY AND OUR REGION. OUR CHAMBER INVOLVEMENT IMPACTS VIRTUALLY EVERYONE WHO DRIVES ON OUR ROADWAYS, OWNS A BUSINESS, OR NEEDS A MEDICAL SERVICE. OUR CITY'S POPULATION ACCORDING TO THE MOST RECENT CENSUS, IS JUST UNDER 40,000.
MEMBERSHIP EDUCATION & INFORMATION: VIA OUR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEONS, ANNUAL MEETING, AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS PROGRAMMING, THERE ARE AT LEAST 15 PLANNED MEETINGS WITH OVER 2000 ATTENDEES, ANNUALLY.
