ANNUAL MEETING: THE ANNUAL MEETING HAS A RICH TRADITION OF PROVIDING A FORUM FOR YOUNG INVESTIGATORS, FELLOWS AND ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT PROFESSORS TO PRESENT THEIR RESEARCH TO LEADERS IN THEIR FIELDS. THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW MULTI SPECIALTY MEETINGS WITH A BROAD FOCUS WHERE THE ATTENDEES CAN LEARN ABOUT RESEARCH TECHNIQUES USED IN OTHER MEDICAL SPECIALTIES AND APPLY THOSE TECHNIQUES TO THEIR OWN RESEARCH.


CAREER DEVELOPMENT AWARDS: THE EARLY CAREER DEVELOPMENT AWARDS ARE $10,000 GRANTS AVAILABLE TO CURRENT MEMBERS, OR INDIVIDUALS APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP, WHO CURRENTLY HOLD AN NIH K08, K23 OR K30 AWARD WITH THE GOAL OF PROVIDING RESEARCH SUPPORT TO RESEARCHERS AT THE FELLOW OR JUNIOR FACULTY LEVEL. APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT A CURRENT CURRICULUM VITAE (CV), AND TWO (2) LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION AND MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PRESENT THEIR WORK AT THE COMBINED ANNUAL MEETING.
