IN 2021, COLORADO PUPPY RESCUE RESCUED AND ADOPTED OVER 1400 PUPPIES AND MOM DOGS FROM ANIMAL SHELTERS AND RESCUERS AND INDIVIDUALS THAT WERE NOT ABLE TO CARE FOR OR FIND THEM HOMES. WE MAINTAINED RELATIONSHIPS WITH 25 SHELTERS IN COLORADO, NEW MEXICO, TEXAS, AND OKLAHOMA.
MEDICAL HEALTH CARE - OUR PROGRAM HELPED TO REGULATE THE COLORADO STATE LAW THAT ALL PETS IMPORTED INTO COLORADO MUST BE INSPECTED FOR HEALTH. WE PROVIDE ALL ANIMALS WE BRING IN WITH HEALTH CERTIFICATES FROM THEIR ORIGIN STATE. WE PROVIDED ALL PUPPIES 3 MONTHS AND OLDER WITH A RABIES VACCINE AS REQUIRED BY COLORADO LAW. WE PROVIDED EACH PET WITH OTHER UP TO DATE VACCINATIONS AND MEDICAL CARE, SPAY AND NEUTER, AND MICROCHIPS AS NEEDED. WE ALSO PROVIDE ALL ANIMALS WE BRING IN WITH AT LEAST ONE EXAM BY A COLORADO LICENSED VETERINARIAN UPON INTAKE PER NEW COLORADO PACFA REGULATIONS.
VOLUNTEER AND FOSTER PROGRAM - WE PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH HANDS ON EXPERIENCE TO WORK WITH ANIMALS AND LEARN TO CARE FOR AND FIND HOMES FOR PETS IN OUR AREA. WE WORK WITH VETERINARY TECH SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS AND HANDS ON TRAINING.
