IAGS PLANS, ORGANIZES AND CONDUCTS A BIENNIAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING FOR ITS MEMBERS IN ORDER TO PRESENT SCIENTIFIC PAPERS, CONDUCT MEDICAL FORUMS, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS WHICH ARE PROVIDED BY MEDICAL DOCTORS, SCIENTISTS, AND MEDICAL DEVICE MANUFACTURERS. THE SCIENTIFIC PAPERS AND PRESENTATIONS ON INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIOVASCULAR RADIOLOGY INCREASE THE KNOWLEDGE AND CURRENT STANDARDS OF CARE AND METHODS. THE MEETINGS ALSO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE MEMBERS TO EXCHANGE IDEAS, OUTCOMES OF PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS AND THE EFFECTIVENESS OF VARIOUS TECHNIQUES AND PRACTICES. THE BIENNIAL MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE ENTIRE ACTIVE IAGS MEMBERSHIP WHICH CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 200 PEOPLE. THE HISTORICAL ATTENDANCE AT THE BIENNIAL MEETINGS IS APPROXIMATELY 100 PEOPLE. THE 2021 MEETING WAS POSTPONED UNTIL 2022 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
