THE FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL WELFARE OF BOSSIER PARISH COMMUNITY COLLEGE, TO IMPROVE THE COLLEGE'S FACILITIES SO AS TO PROVIDE BROADER AND EDUCATIONAL ADVANTAGES AND OPPORTUNITIES, TO ENCOURAGE EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT, AND TO INCREASE THE COLLEGE'S USEFULNESS TO THE CITIZENS OF LOUISIANA.

THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT AT BPCC IS PART OF THE STUDENT SERVICES DIVISION. THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF THE COLLEGE, WHICH OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM OF STUDENT SERVICES. THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT ALSO SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF THE STUDENT SERVICES DIVISION, WHICH PROVIDES ACCURATE INFORMATION AND EFFICIENT SUPPORT SERVICES THAT ENCOURAGE PERSONAL, ACADEMIC, AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH. THE MISSION STATEMENT IS TO PROVIDE OUR STUDENT ATHLETES WITH AN OPTIMUM EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE BY PROVIDING HIGHLY COMPETITIVE ATHLETIC OPPORTUNITIES AT THE INTERCOLLEGIATE LEVEL, UNIQUE SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY AND ENHANCED ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH PROGRESSIVE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES. THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT IS GOVERNED BY THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF BOSSIER PARISH COMMUNITY COLLEGE, THE LOUISIANA & TECHNICAL COLLEGE SYSTEM (LCTCS) AND THE NATIONAL JUNIOR COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (NJCAA), WHERE APPLICABLE. BPCC'S ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT IS PROUD TO SUPPORT STUDENT ATHLETES IN THE FOLLOWING SPORTS: MEN'S BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, AND WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY. THE BPCC ATHLETIC TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN REGION 14 OF THE NJCAA.

THE CYBER EDUCATION CENTER IS HOUSED ON THE BPCC CAMPUS AND OFFERS MULTILEVEL CYBER EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS FOR CYBERSECURITY PROFESSIONALS AND STUDENTS ACROSS LOUISIANA. CLASSES RANGE FROM CYBER LITERACY FOR NONTECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS TO ADVANCED, HANDSON SIMULATIONLABS AND A CYBERRANGE ENVIRONMENT FOR THOSE PURSUING A CYBERSECURITY CAREER. BPCC IS RECOGNIZED AS A NATIONAL CENTER OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN CYBER DEFENSE EDUCATION BY THE NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY.
