LIFE CHOICES PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES FOR WOMEN AND MEN IN UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES: PREGNANCY TESTING, OPTIONS COUNSELING, ABSTINENCE EDUCATION, PARENTING EDUCATION AND SUPPORT, ULTRASOUND, COMMUNITY REFERRALS, POST ABORTION HELP, MATERIAL ASSISTANCE, AND STI TESTING AND TREATMENT. LIFE CHOICES PROVIDED 2,080 POINTS OF SERVICE IN 2021.
THE HOME VISIT PROGRAM, "GROWING GREAT KIDS" FOCUSES ON THE ATTACHMENT AND BONDING OF HIGH-RISK YOUNG MOTHERS (AND FATHERS) WITH THEIR NEWBORNS USING RESEARCH-BASED CURRICULUM FROM GREAT KIDS, INTERNATIONAL. DURING 2021, LIFE CHOICES' STAFF MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN 798 INIDIVIDUAL VISITS.
LIFE CHOICES OVERSEES A MENTORING PROGRAM, "MOMS & DADS." THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO "MATCH" YOUNG PREGNANT WOMEN (AND THEIR PARTNERS) WHO HAVE LIMITED FAMILY SUPPORT WITH MENTOR MOMS IN OUR COMMUNITY. IN 2021, THERE WERE 19 YOUNG WOMEN MATCHED TO MENTORS.
