AMERICAN FAMILY SERVICES WAS FORMED TO OWN AND OPERATE A 60 BEDNURSING FACILITY AND A 42 BED ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY IN NELSONIA, VIRGINIA, A RURAL COMMUNITY. ON APRIL 14, 2017, THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE EASTEN DISTRICT OF VIRGINIA ISSUED AN ORDER APPOINTING A RECEIVER TO OVERSEE AND OPERATE AFS ON BEHALF OF THE BOND TRUSTEE. THE RECEIVER IS DIRECTED AND EMPOWERED TO TAKE FROM MANAGEMENT OF AFS ALL RIGHTS AND POWERS OF MANAGEMENT WITH RESPECT TO THE COLLATERAL, AS DEFINED IN THE ORDER, INCLUDING THE FACILITY AND ITS OPERATIONS THEREOF. AT THE REQUEST OF THE RECEIVER, FHS MANAGEMENT IS CONTINUING TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SERVICES. IN 2018, THE RECEIVER CEASED OPERATIONS AND SOLD THE FACILITY BED LICENSE. IN 2019, THE BUILDING AND LAND WERE SOLD AND THE RECEIVER BEGAN FINAL DISTRIBUTIONS.
