>>> VIRTUAL PROUDLY PRO-LIFE GALA AND RESUMPTION OF PRO-LIFE EDUCATION PROGRAMS <<< WITH COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS DECREASED AS 2021 PROGRESSED, NEW ORLEANS RIGHT TO LIFE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION INC. (NORTL) WAS ABLE TO RESUME PARTICIPATION IN PRO-LIFE EDUCATION PROGRAMS. IN JANUARY, BECAUSE OF COVID-19 LIMITATIONS, WE HELPED WITH THE VIRTUAL STAGING OF THE ANNUAL PROUDLY PRO-LIFE GALA FROM THE WLAE-TV STUDIO. EXCELLENT EDUCATION FEATURES WERE PROVIDED, INCLUDING BY FORMER NEW ORLEANS SAINT BEN WATSON AND SEVERAL OTHER PRO-LIFE SUPPORTERS. OUR NEW ORLEANS DIRECTOR WAS ABLE TO MAKE PRESENTATIONS TO YOUTH AND ADULTS ABOUT VARIOUS ISSUES, INCLUDING ADOPTION, FOSTER CARE, ABORTION AND MORE. TWO BIG EFFORTS WERE NOLA TO-GO BABY BAG GIVEAWAY AND THE HURRICANE IDA SUPPORT GIVE-AWAY. AT THE BABY BAG GIVEAWAY, HELD ON MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND, WE PARTNERED WITH LOUISIANA RIGHT TO LIFE AND LOUISIANA BLACK ADVOCATES FOR LIFE TO HAND OUT MORE THAN 500 BAGS FILLED WITH DIAPERS, SOAP AND OTHER BABY SUPPLIES. ALSO, TO ASSIST FAMILIES AFFECTED BY HURRICANE IDA, NORTL WORKED WITH PREGNANCY CENTERS PASSING OUT SUPPLIES TO HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES IN THE HARD-HIT BAYOU REGION OF THE STATE.

DESPITE COVID-19, THE 40 DAYS FOR LIFE NEW ORLEANS VIGIL WAS HELD SEPT. 22 THROUGH OCT. 31 IN NEW ORLEANS TO PRAY FOR LIFE AND OFFER SUPPORT. NORTL DISTRIBUTED PRAYER CARDS TO CHURCHES IN THE REGION TO PRAY FOR LIFE IN THE CHURCH AND AT HOME. >>> STAND FOR LIFE LOUISIANA AND SUBSIDY <<< ON JAN. 23, NORTL LED SOCIALLY-DISTANCED "LIFE CHAINS" TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC WITH THE PRO-LIFE MESSAGE IN METAIRIE AND NEW ORLEANS. IN OCTOBER, LIFE CHAINS WERE ACTIVE AGAIN IN METAIRIE SHARING THE PRO-LIFE MESSAGE WITH CITIZENS. ANOTHER SUPPORT EFFORT WAS NORTL'S $2,900 SUBSIDY TO THE 2022 PRO-LIFE CALENDARS.
