CYSA WAS CHARTERED BY THE STATE OF LOUISIANA IN 1982 AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION TO TEACH, PROMOTE, AND GOVERN THE GAME OF SOCCER FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PLAYERS, PARENTS, AND COMMUNITY OF COVINGTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. DURING THE 2021-2022 SEASON, APPROXIMATELY 450 CHILDREN, BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5 AND 17, PARTICIPATED IN THE CYSA YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAM. THE REVENUES GENERATED ARE USED TO PROVIDE UNIFORMS, EQUIPMENT, FIELDS, AND REFEREES.
