THE ASSOCIATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING AND CONDUCTS/SPONSORS OTHER MEETINGS, SEMINARS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES TO UPDATE AND INFORM MEMBERS REGARDING CURRENT STANDARDS AND PRACTICES IN THE FUNERAL SERVICE INDUSTRY.


THE ASSOCIATION ADVOCATES ON BELALF OF ITS MEMBERS PROMOTING THE LEGISLATIVE, REGULATORY AND LEGAL INTERESTS OF THE FUNERAL SERVICE INDUSTRY WITH LEGISLATORS, REGULATORS AND THE PUBLIC USERS OF FUNERAL SERVICES.


THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES A NEWSLETTER AND ACCESS TO A WEB SITE IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP MEMBERS INFORMED ON THE CURRENT LEGISLATIVE, REGULATORY AND LEGAL ISSUES OF CONCERN TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE INDUSTRY. COMMITTEE AND DISTRICT ACTIVITIES ALSO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION'S COMMUNICATION EFFORTS.


THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS ENROLLED IN A COURSE OF STUDY AT A MORTUARY COLLEGE. OTHER COSTS ARE ALSO ALLOCATED TO GENERAL PROGRAMMATIC FUNCTIONS.
