Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
HEALING HEARTS RANCH, INC. IS A MINISTRY PROVIDING LOVE AND SUPPORT TO HELP INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES/COUPLES HEAL NOT ONLY THEIR HURTS, BUT THEIR HEARTS. WE OPERATE SOLELY ON GOD'S BLESSINGS BY THOSE THAT CAN DONATE. EACH EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY SESSION IS PROVIDED BY A TREATMENT TEAM CONSISTING OF A LICENSEDTHERAPIST, AN EQUINE SPECIALIST AND AT LEAST ONE HORSE.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
EQUINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY/LEARNING: FOCUSES ON STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIP WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL AND/OR FAMILY AS A WHOLE/ THE PROCESS INVOLVES HORSES BY ASKING THE CLIENTS TO ATTEMPT SPECIFIED TASKS TO ELICIT EMOTIONS AND BEHAVIORS IN WHICH WE ARE ABLE TO POINT THOSE OUT, REGARDLESS OF "RIGHT OR WRONG", AND PROBLEM SOLVE TO CHANGE OR DO DIFFERENT. THIS CHOICE TO DO "DIFFERENT" WILL ALLOW THE INDIVIDUAL AND/OR FAMILY TO BETTER MANAGE EMOTIONS, CONFLICT AND GENERAL BEHAVIORS. THIS PROCESS IS UNIQUE IN THAT WE(EQUINE SPECIALISTS AND THERAPISTS) WORK TOGETHER TO OBSERVE THE CLIENTS AND THE INTERACTIONS AND REACTIONS BETWEEN THE HORSE AND CLIENT OR HORSES TOGETHER
PARENTING: IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR THERAPY, PARENTING CLASSES ARE TAUGHT THROUGH THE TRAINING PROCESS OF A HORSE. EQUINE SPECIALISTS TEACH SPECIFIC TRAINING TECHNIQUES AND SKILL WITH THE HORSE SUCH AS BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP, ESTABLISHING A SAFE PLACE, APPROPRIATE DISCIPLINE, FOLLOW THROUGH, RELEASE OF PRESSURE AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. WE ARE ABLE TO TEACH THIS PROCESS WITH DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES OF HORSES, THAT MIGHT FIT THE CHILD, SUCH AS A SENSITIVE OR STRONG WILL, WHICH WILL ALLOW THE PARENT TO PRACTICE AND IMPLEMENT TOOLS FROM THIS PROCESS.
MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT: MARRIAGES ARE VITAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THE NATION AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY AND BENEFIT FROM THE EXTRA ATTENTION. THEREFORE, HHR HAS DEVELOPED A PROGRAM TO ENHANCE THE MARITAL RELATIONSHIP. ENRICHMENT SESSIONS CAN BE CONDUCTED AS AN INTENSIVE(2-4 HOURS SESSIONS) OR A SMALL RETREAT. BUILDING ON STRENGTHS AND WHAT IS ALREADY WORKING IN THE MARRIAGE. THE COUPLE WILL ENGAGE IN TASKS THAT CHALLENGE THEIR SENSE INDIVIDUALLY AND TOGETHER IN THE MARRIAGE, HELP IDENTIFY THE "LEADER" OF THE RELATIONSHIP, IMPROVE COMMUNICATION- BOTH VERBAL AND NON VERBAL. THE ADDED BENEFIT, IF CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED, WOULD BE TO INFLUENCE THE CHILDREN WHO TEND TO FEED OFF OF WATCHING THEIR PARENTS INTERACT. WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MOTHER AND FATHER NEEDS TO BE A FIRST PRIORITY.
