THE ASSOCIATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE WATER TO RURAL ATKINS AREA CUSTOMERS UP AND TO THE DATE OF ASSET TRANSFER TO THE CITY OF ATKINS, ARKANSAS. DURING 2014, THE WATER SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE CITY OF ATKINS. THE ASSOCIATION SINCE THAT TIME HAS OBTAINED LEGAL REPRESENTATION AND HAS COMPLETED THE FINAL DISSOLUTION AND CLOSEOUT PROCESSES DURING 2016.

THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED WATER AND RELATED WATER SERVICES TO RURAL CUSTOMERS IN THE SOUTHWEST ATKINS AREA UP TO THE DATE WHEN SUCH ASSETS WERE TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY OF ATKINS. SUCH TRANSFER WAS MADE DURING 2014. THE ASSOCIATION DURING 2016 HAS COMPLETED THE FINAL DISSOLUTION PROCESS AND HAS THUS TERMINATED ALL OPERATIONS ACCORDINGLY.
