THE FOUNDATION WAS ORGANIZED TO FOSTER, SUPPORT, AND ENCOURAGE THE ACTIVITIES AND PURPOSES OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS RADIATION THERAPY INSTITUTE, INC. (CARTI) AND TO ADVANCE ITS OBJECTIVES, INCLUDING SPONSORSHIP OF AND ASSISTANCE TO CARTI AND ITS RELATED ACTIVITIES. TODAY, THE FOUNDATION FUNDS ALL PATIENT ASSISTANCE AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS AS WELL AS MANY OF CARTI'S PROGRAM, EQUIPMENT AND CAPITAL NEEDS. FUNDS RAISED THROUGH THE CARTI FOUNDATION DIRECTLY BENEFIT AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE ESTIMATED 34,000 PATIENTS CARTI TREATS EACH YEAR.
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS MUST BE OR HAVE BEEN A CANCER PATIENT AND A CARTI KID. APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AND SUBMIT AN ESSAY ON THE IMPACT CANCER HAD ON THEIR LIVES AND WHAT CARTI MEANT TO THEM IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP.
