Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
AT THE CORE OF C4A IS OUR WIDE VARIETY OF INDIVIDUAL LESSONS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS AT ALL LEVELS. THIS YEAR WE MANAGED TO KEEP OUR TEACHERS WORKING AND STUDENT ENGAGED, IN SPITE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THROUGH INNOVATIVE REMOTE PROGRAMMING. DUE TO THE REQUIRED ONLINE NATURE OF OUR TEACHING, WE PICKED UP STUDENTS FROM OUTSIDE OUR AREA WHOM WE MIGHT NOT HAVE HAD PREVIOUSLY.
WE PROVIDE ENSEMBLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS AT THE EARLIEST STAGES OF MUSICAL DEVELOPMENT UP THROUGH ADVANCED SKILL LEVELS. WE WERE ABLE TO OFFER A NEW GROUP, "THE FLEAS," A UKULELE ENSEMBLE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR REMOTE INSTRUCTION. "THE FLEAS" HAD 20-25 STUDENTS WHILE PEOPLE WERE PROHIBITED FROM GATHERING DUE TO COVID-19.
OUR GROUP CLASSES FOR ADULTS ARE POPULAR WAYS TO LEARN AN INSTRUMENT IN A GROUP SETTING. IN 2021 WE RAN 2 VIOLIN GROUPS FOR ADULTS WITH 4-6 PEOPLE IN EACH GROUP. GROUPS MEET FOR 6-WEEK SESSIONS, AND WE HELD A TOTAL OF 8 SESSIONS.
