IN THE SCHOOLS - TRANSITIONED ONLINE BY OFFERING WEEKLY ONLINE DANCE, STEAM, THEATER, AND YOGA CLASSES. THEY WERE ABLE TO HIRE BACK 7 OF TEACHING ARTISTS DURING THE MONTH OF MAY. THIS PROGRAM IS STILL IN PROGRESS AND HAS HIRED APPROXIMATELY 25 TEACHING ARTISTS.
AFTER-SCHOOL ARTS & LEADERSHIP ACADEMY - 1ST-8TH GRADE STUDENTS FOCUS ON VARIATIONS OF THEATER, MUSIC, VISUAL ARTS (INCLUDING CERAMICS), WOODWORKING, AND DANCE CLASSES. MOST OF THE AFOREMENTIONED CLASSES ARE INFUSED WITH ELEMENTS OF STEM, CREATING A STEAM BASED CURRICULUM. IT ALSO INCORPORATES YOUTH LEADERSHIP TUTORS-COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TRAINED TO BE TUTORS AND MENTORS FOR THE YOUNGER PARTICIPANTS.
SUMMER ARTS CAMP - A VIRTUAL CAMP FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF JUNE. THEY DELIVERED SUPPLY KITS TO THE STUDENTS TO COINCIDE WITH THE STEAM ACTIVITIES, ENSURING EVERY STUDENT'S ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE AND CREATE AS THEY FOLLOWED ALONG TO THE VIDEO THE TEACHING ARTIST CREATED. THEY ALSO CREATED OVER 1,000 ARTS EDUCATION KITS WITH INSTRUCTIONS FOR INDEPENDENT LEARNING.
