SINCE 1999, THE OAK RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION HAS WORKED WITH THE DISTRICT AND SCHOOL STAFF TO IMPROVE THE EXPERIENCE OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AT OAK RIDGE. THE FOUNDATION HAS RAISED AND SPENT OVER $2 MILLION ON PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. THE FOUNDATION HAS HELPED UPGRADE AND ADD CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY, MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMS, SCIENCE EQUIPMENT, GYMNASIUM RECONSTRUCTION, BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELD RENOVATION, NETBOOKS, SOFTWARE AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS. CURRENTLY, THE FOUNDATION IS COLLABORATING WITH THE EL DORADO HILLS COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT AND WITH THE EL DORADO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT TO CREATE AN OUTDOOR LEARNING EXPERIENCE ALONG THE NEW YORK CREEK TRAIL.
