COMMUNITY HOUSING SONOMA COUNTY (CHSC) CREATES HOMES FOR THOSE IN NEED. FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS, CHSC HAS BEEN A LEADER IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SERVICE ENRICHED HOUSING COMMUNITIES. ORIGINALLY FORMED TO ADDRESS RISING HOMELESSNESS WITHIN SONOMA COUNTY, CHSC IS KNOWN FOR HELPING SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES TO BECOME READY TO OWN AND OPERATE THE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROPERTIES CHSC DEVELOPS. SINCE 1994, COMMUNITY HOUSING SONOMA COUNTY (CHSC) HAS HELPED CREATE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR MORE THAN 365 PEOPLE, HAS PROVIDED SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR 203 PEOPLE, AND HAS HELPED LEVERAGE OVER $85 MILLION IN FINANCING FROM LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL SOURCES. CHSC WORKS COLLABORATIVELY TO RESPOND TO THE CHANGING NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. EACH PROJECT CHSC DEVELOPS IS UNIQUE, CREATING DIFFERENT TYPES OF RENTAL HOUSING, SERVING A VARIETY OF PEOPLE WITH VARIOUS DISABLING CONDITIONS, USING A WIDE ARRAY OF FINANCING TOOLS. CHSCS WORK IMPACTS INDIVIDUAL LIVES, FAMILIES, AND OUR COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE, HEALTH, AND SAFETY.
