INSPIRE PHILANTHROPY AND STEWARD ASSETS TO FOSTER VIBRANT, INCLUSIVE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT MENDOCINO COUNTY.

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED 368 GRANTS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN MENDOCINO COUNTY, WITH SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENTS IN HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, ANIMAL WELFARE AND DISASTER RESPONSE. THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES GRANT PROGRAM DISTRIBUTED $226,700 TO PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT, FOOD RELIEF, TRANSPORTATION, AND FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS TO ORGANIZATIONS SERVING THOSE MOST IMPACTED BY THE PANDEMIC AND THE POST-COVID INFLATIONARY ENVIRONMENT. THE ANIMAL WELFARE FUND PROVIDED $208,000 IN GRANTS TO ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS, BOTH LARGE AND SMALL, RESPONDING TO A DRAMATIC INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF ANIMALS NEEDING CARE. THE FOUNDATION RESPONDED TO THE WINTER STORMS IN THREE REMOTE REGIONS OF MENDOCINO COUNTY BY GRANTING $167,300 FOR CASE MANAGEMENT AND RELIEF BENEFITTING 100'S OF PEOPLE IMPACTED BY BLOCKED ROADS, MULTI-WEEK POWER OUTAGES, LOST WAGES AND DAMAGE TO THEIR HOMES. THE FOUNDATION'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INVESTED $406,400 IN THE NEXT GENERATION BY PROVIDING 130 STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS TO SUPPORT THEIR EDUCATIONAL GOALS.
