BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SONOMA-MARIN'S MISSION IS TO INSPIRE AND ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO NEED US MOST, TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE CARING AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS.

THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SONOMA-MARIN (BGCSM)CURRENTLY SERVES OVER 10,000 CLUB MEMBERS IN TWELVE COMMUNITIES IN SONOMA AND MARIN COUNTIES BY PROVIDING AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS. DURING THE YEAR BGCSM SERVED OVER 213,000 MEALS TO CLUB MEMBERS AT NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS. THESE MEALS MEET THE FEDERAL NUTRITIONAL REQUIREMENTS. IN ADDITION, BGCSM STAFF PROVIDED OVER 678,000 HOURS OF HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE TO CLUB MEMBERS. THE MIRACLE OF LEARNING ENABLES ALL OUR YOUNG PEOPLE TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS. THROUGH OUR OTHER PROGRAMS BGCSM STAFF WORKED WITH CLUB MEMBERS ON LEADERSHIP SKILLS, TEAMWORK BY PARTICIPATING IN OVER 176 DIFFERENT TEAM SPORTS; CHARACTER AND CITIZENSHIP BY PROVIDING OVER 19,000 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE. OVERALL, BGCSM FOCUSES ON FIVE CORE PROGRAM AREAS OF CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT; HEALTH AND LIFE SKILLS; THE ARTS; SPORTS, FITNESS AND RECREATION; ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT.
