THE FOUNDATION'S GRANTMAKING IN THIS PAST YEAR HAS INTENTIONALLY ACTIVATED AND IS CENTERED ON MEETING IMMEDIATE AND EMERGING NEEDS OF ENGLISH LEARNERS AND THE FIRST AMENDMENT IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY. THE PANDEMIC HAS ALSO RESULTED IN ADDITIONAL NEEDS AND CONSIDERATIONS, WHICH NECESSITATED ADDITIONAL GRANTMAKING DOLLARS. THE FOUNDATION PLANS TO CONTINUE ACCELERATING ITS GRANTMAKING SPENDING AS THE FOUNDATION IS PLANNING TO SUNSET IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND IS DEVELOPING A STRATEGIC PLAN TO SUPPORT THESE ACTIVITIES.
