WE STAND WITH THE PEOPLE OF THE CENTRAL VALLEY BY INVESTING IN EDUCATION AND ACTIVE CIVIC PARTICIPATION IN OUR DEMOCRACY.

THE FOUNDATION IS SUNSETTING. IN THE LAST COUPLE YEARS, THE FOUNDATION'S GRANTMAKING HAS INTENTIONALLY ACTIVATED AND IS CENTERED ON ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF ENGLISH LEARNERS AND THE FIRST AMENDMENT IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY. THE PANDEMIC HAS REVEALED MAJOR CAPACITY BUILDING NEEDS FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND THOSE WHO LEAD IT. THE FOUNDATION IN ITS SUNSET PLANNING HAS ACCELERATED ITS GRANTMAKING SPENDING AS A STRATEGY TO CONTINUE LEARNING WHAT PEOPLE NEED. WHILE ITS SUNSET PLAN IS IN DEVELOPMENT, THE LESSONS GLEANED WILL INFORM US OF EMERGING TRENDS RELATED TO OUR PROGRAM AREAS AND SEE WHERE ALIGNMENT OCCURS.
