TO SUPPORT THE BAND PROGRAM AND MUSICAL TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE AT DAVIS HIGH SCHOOL.

Part 3
BAND TRAVEL IS DESIGNED TO EXPOSE THE STUDENTS TO CULTURE AND MUSICAL TRADITIONS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE UNITED STATES AS WELL AS INTERNATIONALLY. WHEN TRAVELLING THE STUDENTS ARE TREATED TO MASTER CLASSES WITH WELL KNOWN AND CELEBRATED ARTISTS. THEY ARE ABLE TO TOUR VARIOUS CONCERT VENUES. IN SPRING 2018 THE BANDS TRAVELLED TO ITALY .
GENERAL BAND PROGRAM - THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THE THREE BANDS, SYMPHONIC, CONCERT AND JAZZ, PRACTICE AND PERFORM IN THE COMMUNITY. AT VARIOUS TIMES THE BANDS WILL PERFORM IN CITY PARADES, AT THE UC DAVIS PICNIC DAY, AT THE CITY FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION, THE HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING AND AT THE DAVIS FARMERS MARKET. IN ADDITION, THE DIFFERENT BANDS WILL COMPETE WITH OTHER HIGH SCHOOL BANDS IN THE REGION.
