TEACHER RESOURCES: DISTRIBUTION OF AN EDUCATIONAL NEWSPAPER SUPPLEMENT FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 3-8, "WHAT'S GROWIN' ON?". THE TEACHER SUPPLEMENT WAS DISTRIB- UTED TO TEACHERS WITH EACH CLASSROOM SET. CALIFORNIA READERSHIP WAS NEARLY ONE MILLION. TWO LESSON PLANS WERE RESEARCHED, DEVELOPED AND UPDATED. TWO NEW RESOURCES WERE RESEARCHED, DEVELOPED AND DISTRIBUTED. TASTE & TEACH PROGRAM DISTRIBUTED A BINDER WITH LESSON PLANS TO 200 TEACHERS. EACH TEACHER ALSO RECEIVED A GROCERY STORE GIFT CARD TO PURCHASE THE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES THAT CORRESPOND TO EACH LESSON. AN AG HISTORY WEBSITE WAS DEVELOPED. A NUTRITION CURRICULA WAS DEVELOPED WITH NEWSLETTERS AND POSTERS FOR FRESNO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.
TEACHER COMMUNICATIONS: NEW RESOURCES ON WEBSITE, OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR PROGRAM, AND MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTER FOR TEACHERS "CREAM OF THE CROP." THE OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR PROGRAM INCLUDES LITERACY FOR LIFE GRANTS TO SCHOOLS/TEACHERS FOR AG EDUCATION IN THE CLASSROOMS. A REGULAR SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN PROVIDED NEW AG INFO AND ACTIVITIES FOR EDUCATORS.
AITC CONFERENCE: THE 2021 ANNUAL AITC CONFERENCE FOR EDUCATORS WAS HELD VIRTUALLY WITH 313 PARTICIPANTS. WORKSHOPS, KEYNOTE SPEAKERS AND FIELD TRIPS WERE PRESENTED.
