SEE SCHEDULE OTHE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS VARIOUS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND ORGANIZATIONS CONSISTENT WITH ITS MISSION (I.E., TO SUPPORT HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND VOLUNTEERISM IN SOUTH FLORIDA, AND TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES IN NEED). EXAMPLES OF INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS SUPPORTED BY THE FOUNDATION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, ITS SPECIAL TEAMS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, AND CITY YEAR MIAMI.HURRICANE RELIEF - HURRICANE SEASON IS FROM JUNE - DECEMBER EACH YEAR. THE SOUTH FLORIDA REGION AND ITS CARIBBEAN NEIGHBORS ARE AT RISK OF DAMAGE SHOULD A HURRICANE HIT. THIS FUND HELPS THE MIAMI DOLPHINS TO ASSIST IN THE RESTORATION OF COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY A HURRICANE.SOCIAL JUSTICE - THE MIAMI DOLPHINS' GOAL IS TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD THROUGH THE POWER OF TEAMWORK TO INSPIRE A HEALTHIER, MORE EDUCATED AND UNITED SOUTH FLORIDA COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE INCLUSIVE OF THE DIVERSITY AND AWARE OF THE INTERSECTIONS THAT MAKE UP SOUTH FLORIDA, UNITING GROUPS OF DIFFERENT RACES, GENDERS, SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS, IDENTITIES, ABILITIES AND FAITH AROUND THE POWER OF FOOTBALL. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS NOMINATED BY MIAMI-DADE COUNTY SCHOOLS IN SUPPORT OF THESE GOALS.NFL GRANTS DISBURSEMENTS - GRANTS RECEIVED FROM THE NFL FOUNDATION PARTIALLY FUNDS COACH OF THE WEEK, ATHLETIC TRAINERS, PLAY 60, VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, HOMETOWN HUDDLE, CRUCIAL CATCH, SOCIAL JUSTICE, SALUTE TO SERVICE AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE FOUNDATION MANAGES AND DISBURSES FUNDS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMMING IN THE COMMUNITY. COMMUNITY PROGRAMS - MIAMI DOLPHINS SPONSORSHIP DEALS THAT HAVE A COMMUNITY COMPONENT (COMMUNITY RELATIONS OR YOUTH PROGRAMS), HAVE THEIR ALLOTTED FUNDS DEPOSITED INTO THIS ACCOUNT FOR USE TO FULFILL THE CONTRACTED COMMUNITY EVENTS.NAT MOORE ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP FUND - THE NAT MOORE SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT WILL PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATING SENIORS FROM HIGH SCHOOLS IN MIAMI-DADE, BROWARD, PALM BEACH AND MONROE COUNTIES. NO RESTRICTION IS PLACED ON THE STUDENT'S CHOICE OF SCHOOL OR DISCIPLINE OF STUDY. THE NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED IS BASED ON THE FUNDING AVAILABLE AND THE NUMBER OF QUALITY APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE PRIMARILY DISTRIBUTED DIRECTLY TO COLLEGES OVER FOUR YEARS, WHICH HELPS TO ENSURE THAT THE STUDENT REMAINS IN SCHOOL. THE MAXIMUM AWARD AMOUNT IS $10,000 AND WILL BE DISBURSED IN INCREMENTS OF $2,500 PER YEAR FOR FOUR (4) YEARS.FOOD RELIEF PROGRAM - THIS INITIATIVE PROVIDES A MINIMUM OF 1,000 MEALS PREPARED BY CENTERPLATE, THE MIAMI DOLPHIN'S FOOD, BEVERAGE AND RETAIL PARTNER, EACH WEEKDAY OUT OF HARD ROCK STADIUM UP TO A 12-MONTH PERIOD TO FAMILIES IN NEED IN MIAMI GARDENS THROUGH A VOUCHER SYSTEM. ON SUNDAYS, THE DOLPHINS WORK WITH AREA CHURCHES, LOCAL LEADERSHIP, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS TO PURCHASE FOOD FROM LOCAL RESTAURANTS TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF 1,000 MEALS EACH SUNDAY THAT ARE DISTRIBUTED TO THOSE DEALING WITH FOOD INSECURITY. THE PROGRAM GENERATES JOBS AND REVENUE FOR THE LOCAL RESTAURANT INDUSTRY, WHILE EMPLOYING GUEST SERVICES AND SECURITY STAFF AT THE STADIUM THAT HAVE BEEN IDLED AS A RESULT OF COVID-19-RELATED EVENT CANCELLATIONS.
