THE ORGANIZATION IS AUTHORIZED UNDER THE FLORIDADEPARTMENT OF HEALTH/FAMILY HEALTH SERVICES TOIMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS OF FLORIDAS HEALTHY START LEGISLATION IN MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA.THE ORGANIZATION HAS THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OFADDRESSING THE PRENATAL AND INFANT HEALTH CARE OF ALL PREGNANT WOMEN AND CHILDREN WITH EMPHASIS ON THEUNINSURED, MEDICAID RECIPIENTS AND OTHER INDIGENTINDIVIDUALS BY DEVELOPING SYSTEMS OF MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE WHICH WILL MAXIMIZE PUBLIC ANDPRIVATE COOPERATION AND IMPROVE HEALTH CARE.
