MISIONEROS DE CAMINO OPERATES A CHILDREN'S COMPLEX IN GUATEMALA, CENTRAL AMERICA, CONSISTING OF A SHELTER HOME AND A NEUROLOGICAL CENTER. THE SHELTER HOME IS THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR APPROXIMATELY 70 ORPHANED, ABANDONED, AND MALNOURISHED CHILDREN FROM THE VERY POOR REGION IT SERVES, PROVIDING FOR ALL THEIR NEEDS 24/7. DURING THE 2022/2023 FISCAL YEAR THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED 94,937 UNITS OF SERVICE COVERING SHELTER, NUTRITION, CLOTHING, EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE. IN THE FISCAL YEAR, THE NEUROLOGICAL CENTER PROVIDED 10,090 UNITS OF SERVICE TO THE CHILDREN. THE SERVICES CONSISTED OF PSYCOTHERAPHIES, SENSORY INTEGRATION, LANGUAGE AND PHYSICAL THERAPIES, NEUROLOGICAL EVALUATIONS, SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASSES, NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN, MEDICATIONS, MEDICAL PROCEDURES AND LAB TEST, TRAINING AND SUPPORT GROUPS FOR THE STAFF. IN ADDITION THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUBSTANTIAL ECONOMIC BENEFITS TO THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT AND CONTRACTING LOCAL SUPPLIERS.
