THE MISSION OF THE HOMELESS COALITION IS TO ALLEVIATE AND PREVENT HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS. THE HOMELESS COALITION ENVISIONS A COMMUNITY FREE OF HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS. SHARED VALUES: ~WE TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY WITH RESPECT, DIGNITY, AND COMPASSION. ~WE HOLD OURSELVES ACCOUNTABLE TO PRACTICE ETHICAL AND RESPONSIBLE STEWARDSHIP. IT IS UNDENIABLE THAT THE HOMELESS COALITION LOOKS MUCH DIFFERENT TODAY THAN IT DID IN PREVIOUS YEARS. THE NEEDS IN OUR COMMUNITY HAVE CHANGED AND WE HAVE ADAPTED TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS. WE ARE STRONG AND PASSIONATELY COMMITTED AS WE CELEBRATE OUR 25TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR. THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY HOMELESS COALITION (CCHC) SERVES AS THE CENTRAL INTAKE AGENCY IN CHARLOTTE COUNTY FOR THOSE IN CRISIS, INDIVIDUALS & FAMILIES WHO HAVE FOUND THEMSELVES AT RISK OF BECOMING HOMELESS, THE EXTREMELY LOW INCOME AND THE TRULY HOMELESS. THE CCHC ASSISTS FAMILIES & INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE IN NEED OF FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, & LINKS TO OTHER SERVICES.
