OPERATION OF YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE WITH 1,000 BOYS AND GIRLS, PARTICIPATING AGES 7 TO 15 ALLOCATED TO 100 TEAMS WITHIN 8 DIVISIONS. AFFIRMATIVE OUTREACH TO MINORITY COMMUNITIES RESULTED IN APPROXIMATELY 50 LOW INCOME MINORITY PLAYERS RECEIVING PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS.
OPERATION OF SUMMER CAMP RESULTED IN 150 BOYS AND GIRLS ON AVERAGE EACH WEEK, AGES 6 TO 15, PARTICIPATING AT TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. APPROXIMATELY 25 SCHOLARSHIPS (FEES WAIVED) WERE PROVIDED.
HIGH-5 DIVISION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR THE HANDICAPPED AND SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN RESULTING IN 80 TO 100 PARTICIPANTS RANGING IN AGES 8 TO 25. TRAVEL TEAM PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR APPROXIMATLEY 100 PLAYERS, AGES 9 TO 15, TO PARTICIPATE BEYOND THE NORMAL SEASON.
